Improving Your Memory and Boosting Brain Power

Do you often have trouble remember things, such as turning off the stove or unplugging the curling iron before leaving for work in the morning? There are certain things you can do to improve your brain’s memory and brain power. Luckily, most of these brain enhancing exercises and memory improvement techniques are easy to do!

  • Exercise regularly. Physical exercise increases oxygen to the brain, and lowers the risk for diseases that may lead to memory loss.

  • Sleep the recommended 8 hours a night. When tired your brain isn’t working at full capacity, which if compromising your memory and other important skills.

  • Laugh often. Have you ever heard the saying, laughter is the best medicine? Well, whoever said that wasn’t kidding! When you laugh you’re engaging multiple regions of your brain, ultimately giving your brain a mental workout.

  • Eat right. Certain foods, vitamins and minerals promote brain health, such as omega-3 fatty acids, fruits, vegetables, and wine (in moderation).

  • Relax. Chronic stress destroys brain cells.
