The Key to Wellness
When posed with the question, “What could you be doing to be healthier?”, what would your answer be?
At Tools for Wellness, we’ve thought about what our answers might be. On any given day, we might say that we need more sleep. Or maybe we need more exercise. Or maybe we just need 30 minutes just to relax and quiet our minds. Wellness is a whole person experience, which means that it must incorporate your mind, body, and spirit. There are many things that we can do to better care for our minds, bodies, and spirits. However, major changes in our wellness don’t start with a huge leap in our routine. It’s the little things, those habits that we tend to develop, that help to make us more well.
Every day is different, so one day you might find that you need more sleep while on another, more water. Wellness is all about adjusting your body to what it needs as those needs develop. To live a life that is well, we must be in tune with our bodies and what we need to feel our best. So practice the key to wellness today: take some time and listen to your body. Do you feel a certain way? Have you noticed any changes in your body, mind or spirit? What areas of your life have you been neglecting?
Taking the time to reflect can be one of the best things you do for yourself. Make it a part of your wellness plan.
