Reduce the Clutter for National Simplify Week

The day is simpler when you wake up on time!

Can you believe that there’s only one week devoted to simplifying your life? You’d think that’s what the entire season of ‘spring cleaning’ was celebrating! Simplifying your life isn’t just about cleaning out the old boxes in the attic and clothes in your closet.

Here’s five ways you can simplify your life by reducing your day to day clutter:

  • Take out the distractions that are keeping you from accomplishing much more. For example, this can be the TV show getting in the way of the book you’ve been wanting to read, or a fixation on problems that you can’t actively solve!
  • Cut the crazy late night routines and focus on relaxation and getting more sleep. When you fall asleep and wake up at regular times using a natural alarm clock then you won’t need all the other silly tricks.
  • Delegate some of your day to day chores to someone else in the family who can help. Or hire someone to take care of the smaller things like lawn maintenance or cleaning once a month.
  • Clean out the electronic clutter that’s not needed. Delete unused desktop icons, RSS feeds you don’t read, and unsubscribe from emails you don’t even open.
